COMET Training*
Changing our Mental and Emotional Trajectory, or COMET is training for responding to those in vulnerable situations. This training focuses on rural and agricultural communities, and provides in-depth insight to reacting without fixing, but rather support and understanding.

The Alliance and local governments/businesses collaborate on projects to strengthen the bond between the queer community and all Southwest residents. Here are some of the events you can find us at throughout the year:
Durango's Annual Earth Day Festival
We had a rockin' Earth Day with Durango this year and are excited for next! In 2023 The Alliance marched in the parade + provided face painting and Drag Story-time at the Earth Day festival; hosted by some amazing local drag artists! We won Best Costume at the festival in 2023 and plan to be back bigger and better in the 2024.
Buckley Bash! By Omni Adventures
The Alliance was able to partner with Omni Adventures at the First Annual Buckley Bash 2023. This event was a celebration of sustainability and inclusivity. Featuring live music, comedy, vendors, and bagels galore; The Alliance is proud to partner with local businesses aimed at creating sustainable business models, practices, and communities that thrive supporting them! We will see you again next year.

Winter PRIDE
Winter PRIDE for the Alliance is a small, weekend festival to celebrate and remind our community that we can have pride all year around! This festival usually features a Winter Wonderland dance, happy hours, and live entertainment. Last but not least, you know we have to get out and play in the snow in the mountains. Queer snowpeople, they exist.

Animas River Days
